Kit for recording vessel speed. The pitot unit is connected to the crossbar and falls into the water. The probe and tube detect the variation in water pressure and convert this into a reading on the speedometer. Higher speeds cause more pressure and this pressure causes the needle in the speedo to move.

It is only suitable for use with Pitot-type marine speedometers.
